Riverstone Properties Settlement Rejected by the BOCC

We had a voice and were heard.





At the full-to-overflowing BOCC meeting on May 23, (read and listen to the meeting here) many people spoke in opposition to the proposed development of eleven, 85-foot towers on the south end of Amelia Island. The Commissioners voted 3-2 to reject the settlement as proposed to the developer, responding to the voices of their voters.


Voting to REJECT the settlement: Chairman Aaron Bell, Commissioner John Martin, and Commissioner Klynt Farmer

Voting to ACCEPT the settlement: Commissioner Tom Ford and Commissioner Jeff Gray
