LINK AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This is your page to learn what’s to do and see in Amelia Island. Home to American Beach, Fernandina Beach and a host of other sites, attractions and great places to eat.

DIVE INTO AMELIA ISLAND

Amelia Island, nuzzling up to the Georgia border at the Atlantic coast, remains one of Florida’s best-kept secrets. Settled since the Timucua Indians first arrived here a thousand years ago, no fewer than eight nations’ flags have flown over Amelia since 1562.

MUCH TO SEE AND DO

American Beach is home to a long history of culture and rich stories. American Beach Museum on Amelia Island remembers the historic African American journey of vision, struggle, joy and triumph and celebrates the preservation of this historic site. There is much more to see as well.

A MAJESTIC TURTLE SANCTUARY

Visitors to San Fernandina/Amelia Island may be lucky enough to witness the landing of Leatherback Sea Turtles or maybe even the Hatching of baby Sea Turtles. Volunteers and spectators will share the history of that particular nest and general sea turtle facts.

PULL UP A CHAIR AND EAT!

Located just off the coast of northeast Florida, Amelia Island is easy to reach, but hard to forget. Restaurants galore. Try them all. Yum!
