Dr. Berta Arias will speak on the connection between Cuba and Fernandina Amelia Island Museum of History

José Martí, Cuban journalist, poet, and revolutionary, stayed in Fernandina in the 1890s to develop the Fernandina Plan, a plot to send men and arms to Cuba to fight for independence. Dr. Berta Arias will speak about this unique history as part of the Museum's celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
